Anesthesiology and Reanimation
The Anesthesiology and Reanimation Department at Emsey Hospital works in full integration with all other medical units of our hospital, providing patients with the safest healthcare service through a team of specialist physicians. Our operating rooms, equipped with state-of-the-art technological systems in accordance with international standards, feature modern anesthesia equipment suitable for all types of surgical operations.
Our team of anesthesiologists provides anesthesia services for General Surgery, Ophthalmology, Ear Nose and Throat (ENT), Urology, Thoracic Surgery, Cardiovascular Surgery, Gynecology and Obstetrics, Neonatal and Pediatric Surgery, Orthopedics and Traumatology, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and Neurosurgery operations. They are also responsible for the monitoring and treatment of patients in intensive care units with maximum safety and a multidisciplinary approach.
At our hospital, patients scheduled for surgery are evaluated for suitability for the procedure by our anesthesiologists. After necessary examinations and tests, risk assessments are conducted in collaboration with relevant consultations when needed. The appropriate anesthesia method is determined, patients are informed in detail, and official consent is obtained.
For all operations except those requiring regional anesthesia or planned cesarean sections, premedication (pre-anesthesia) is administered before transferring the patient to the operating room. This process minimizes surgical stress and ensures maximum comfort for the patient. Similarly, after the operation, patients are transferred to the recovery room for monitoring and then, based on the anesthesiologist’s decision, are escorted by a nurse to their hospital room or the intensive care unit.
