What Are the Symptoms of Scoliosis?

Despite many studies, the exact cause of scoliosis has not been identified. Parents cannot influence its development. It is observed in about 1.5% of school-aged children. The curvature often becomes more noticeable during puberty growth spurts.

Typical signs include:

  • Shoulder asymmetry
  • Uneven scapula (shoulder blade protrusion)

  • Uneven or prominent hips

  • Noticeable gap between arm and torso on one side

  • Head not aligned with the pelvis

  • Rib hump visible when bending forward
